What You Will Do

  • The Product Director Office (PDO) is responsible for aligning regional product, volume, and profitability objectives with Hyundai Motor Company’s global business strategy, with a particular focus on Genesis business performance and growth across the MEA region.
  • The role drives product and profit target achievement across the product lifecycle by monitoring business performance, leading profitability improvement initiatives, and supporting executive decision-making through data-driven analysis, market intelligence, and strategic product planning.
  • In addition, the position supports Genesis MEA business development through dedicated product strategy, go-to-market planning, luxury market intelligence, and customer insight activities in close collaboration with GMEA and Headquarters.
  • The position operates under the management of the Head of Business Strategy, HMMEA, while maintaining a dotted-line reporting relationship with the GMEA (Genesis Middle East & Africa) leadership team.

How Will You Make An Impact

Product & Profit Target Alignment

  • Align regional product, volume, and profitability targets with HMC’s strategic objectives across key product lifecycle milestones.
  • Identify performance gaps and develop action plans to achieve business and profitability targets.
  • Optimize product and financial targets based on market competitiveness, business performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on product positioning, pricing, and profitability planning to support management decision-making.

 

Regional–Global Coordination & Governance

  • Serve as the voice of the MEA region and represent regional product requirements to HMC and manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Consolidate regional product proposals and coordinate product-, volume-, and profitability-related initiatives with Headquarters.
  • Lead and operate Regional Product Committee Meetings (PCM) to facilitate governance and business decision-making.
  • Act as the central coordination point among regional functions, manufacturing plants, and HMC stakeholders.

 

Product Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Monitor model-level sales, profitability, and overall business performance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Identify risks and opportunities impacting product and profit targets and recommend corrective actions.
  • Drive profitability enhancement and cost optimization initiatives across the product portfolio.
  • Prepare business analyses and performance reports to support strategic reviews and continuous improvement.

 

Genesis MEA Dedicated Product Strategy, Go-To-Market & Market Intelligence

  • Align regional product, volume, and profitability targets with HMC’s strategic objectives across key product lifecycle milestones.
  • Develop and coordinate Genesis product roadmap, future portfolio concepts, and go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new model launches.
  • Lead luxury market intelligence activities, including competitive benchmarking, pricing analysis, customer insights, and technology trend monitoring.
  • Support Genesis business growth by providing strategic recommendations on product positioning, customer value proposition, and market opportunities.

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • Recommend product strategy, pricing direction, volume planning, and profitability improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate regional product and profitability planning activities with HMC and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support regional business units in achieving BP/OP and profitability targets.

Other Details

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Master’s degree is a plus

 

Related Experience

  • 10 years of professional experience at a manufacturer/distributor of consumer products with direct product responsibilities (planning, pricing, marketing, incentives, distribution, and/or sales).
  • Automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Cross-functional project management experience preferred.
  • Extensive data analysis experience and data visualization expertise required.

 

Skill/Knowledge

  • Excel, PowerPoint, Word proficiency.
  • Experience with Power BI, PIN, Maritz, GfK, IHS/Polk, Strategic Vision, Ace Metrix, Tableau, etc. studies/tools a plus.
  • Arabic & Korean as second language is a plus
