The Opportunity

As the Go to Market (GTM) Manager you will play a key role in aligning the operational plans of the company with its stated business plans. You will support volume and profit aspirations of the company by driving operational changes across product, positioning, marketing and distribution. You will identify areas for improved performance across product, trim and channel mix, ensuring these opportunities are clearly communicated and backed by market research and a strong business case. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead the GTM product launch planning process, hosting regular launch committee meetings
  • Review the market landscape and define the target market, positioning and key launch objectives for new models, including volume expectations
  • Act as the key conduit between Sales and Marketing aligning on product positioning, key marketing messages and demand/purchase funnel targets
  • Liaise with Sales Training and Product Planning to highlight the key features and product strengths together with key trim walk strategies to be shared with the network
  • Volume and share competitive set performance reviews versus plan and prior year. Highlight volume and share gains / losses driven by variables such as price, incentives, SOV or availability
  • Recommend actions required to correct the performance of products or to maximize trends/momentum working in HMCA’s favour.
  • Gather feedback from regional field teams, dealers and customers (via Marketsight) on product performance and market needs to refine product offerings and GTM strategies.
  • Develop plans to meet or exceed approved targets over the stated planning period including the development of consumer retail offers and finance programs
  • Work within the approved budget for Retail and Fleet incentives, analysing performance to determine ROI and any changes required to maximise volume and profit
  • Assess demand funnel metrics including the enquiry targets across digital (website) and dealerships required to deliver the order write and retail plans of the period
  • Work with the Senior Manager in assessing how product plans and initiatives fit into the overall operating plans

About you

You have the below skills and experience and are passionate about progressing your career with an innovative and dynamic automotive brand.

  • 5+ years experience in Marketing, Product Planning or Go-to-Market preferably within the automotive industry. 
  • 5+ years as a people manager with experiencing coaching, developing and leading a team. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends and leverage this for decision making. 
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally for end-to-end product launch management.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with experience presenting to senior leadership teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to consider all inputs to deliver clear well-reasoned recommendations. 
  • Valid Driver's Licence and the ability to travel to support product launches and market initiatives.
