The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Retail & Performance Marketing Manager to lead Hyundai and Genesis retail and performance marketing activity across Australia.

 

This commercially focused role will translate business and sales priorities into effective marketing strategies that drive customer demand, generate quality enquiries and support retail sales performance. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail & Performance Marketing, you will lead a high-performing team and work closely with Sales, Finance, Product, Regional teams, the dealer network and agency partners to deliver measurable business outcomes.

 

This is a 13-month parental leave cover contract, commencing September 2026 and concluding at the end of October 2027.

 

 

About the Role

As the Retail & Performance Marketing Manager, you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of national retail marketing campaigns for Hyundai and Genesis, translating sales and business priorities into customer-focused activity that drives enquiry and retail performance.
  • Own retail media strategy, planning and investment, ensuring budgets and channel mix are aligned to commercial priorities and optimised for performance.
  • Lead always-on and CORE performance marketing activity across key digital channels, with a strong focus on lead generation, conversion and measurable customer outcomes.
  • Use campaign, customer, media and market data to identify performance opportunities, inform investment decisions and continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Product, Regional General Managers and the dealer network to ensure marketing activity supports national and regional business priorities.
  • Lead the development of dealer marketing initiatives and programs, including DAC-funded activity, local market opportunities and dealer marketing support.
  • Drive campaign measurement and reporting, translating performance into clear insights, recommendations and actions for senior stakeholders.
  • Lead agency and external partner relationships, ensuring strong strategic thinking, effective execution, media optimisation and creative delivery.
  • Own Retail and CORE marketing budgets, including forecasting, expenditure management, reconciliation and governance.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Retail Assistant Manager and Performance Marketing Specialist, building a culture of commercial thinking, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in retail, performance, or integrated marketing within a complex commercial environment.
  • Strong experience developing and executing retail marketing strategies that deliver measurable sales and lead generation outcomes.
  • Proven expertise in media planning, budget management, digital marketing performance, and campaign optimisation.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders, dealer networks, and external partners.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and present complex information clearly.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).
